A company which produces an innovative material for the art and architecture industry has chosen Cambrian Packaging to supply over 90% of its plastic packaging, following a partnership spanning more than a decade.
Jesmonite invented an acrylic-modified gypsum composite as an alternative to cast concrete in 1984 and has been leading the way forward in the architecture and art industry ever since. The company, which recently helped create a feature wall from the material at HSBC’s new headquarters in Birmingham, has been working with Cambrian for over 16 years.
Lorna Mercer, business coordinator, said: “We started off using lots of different suppliers for our packaging, and Cambrian was one of them. Now they supply us with over 90% of our packaging because their prices are very competitive, they are very reliable and they have excellent customer service.
“Some of the other suppliers we were using would often increase their prices or there would be issues with the reliability of their supply. We recently had a problem and our contact at Cambrian, Callum Baker, sorted it all out for us. We mainly get plastic buckets and jerrycans from them, but we needed to source a specific 1L plastic bottle after another supplier said they were no longer able to get it – Callum was able to find it for us.
“I would recommend Cambrian for their top customer service. It’s also nice to support another local business, as we are based in Bishops Castle and Cambrian are based in Newtown.”
Callum Baker, sales executive, said: "We enjoy working with Jesmonite and I was only too happy to help them out. The company’s commitment to invention and problem solving really resonates with what we do here at Cambrian and I’m proud to have built such a strong customer relationship.”
