General Product Questions
Bottles are stocked with screw necks in 20/410, 22/410, 24/410, 28/400, 28/PP, 28/410, 31.5/GT, 32/415, 33/400, 38/TE, 38/415.
Jerry cans are stocked with screw necks in 38/415, 45DIN, 51DIN and 61DIN. Some spray bottles are also available with a TS1 snap-on neck finish.
NB: Manufacturers can interpret neck specifications differently resulting in variation in neck fit. We’re pleased to issue samples for testing to establish compatibility – please call our Sales team on 01686 611360.
All of the materials used in the manufacture of trigger heads, lotion pumps and mist sprays can be recycled. The usual process is for the original item to be granulated and the various materials separated for further recycling using methods specific to each material.

NB: The information given is general, responsibility for ensuring correct application torque lies with the Purchaser.
HDPE, PET and PP can be coloured as per your preferences, and our manufacturing partners carry stock of masterbatches in some standard colours. Any colour is achievable, but supply of coloured bottles, containers and dispensers is always subject to minimum production quantities. These vary by product – details on request.
Tip: Colouring the liquid contents and using a clear or natural bottle is another way to achieve a coloured final pack while purchasing standard packaging.
If the standard stock length of dip tube on a trigger head, mist spray or lotion pump doesn’t suit your chosen container, Cambrian Packaging offers a trimming service. Cost is £0.03 per unit and lead times vary with workload. Please enquire at point of order and our Customer Services Team will be happy to advis
Tip: the dip tubes fitted to some trigger heads and mist sprays is very flexible and dip tube trimming isn’t always required. Call us for details 01686 611360
As a rule pails are designed to be stacked up to 4 high when filled to their nominal capacity.
Experience may allow stacks to be higher than this at the packer’s discretion but any failure caused by this will not be accepted as a valid QC non-conformance.
Manufacturing Questions
All products stocked are sold as fit for the purpose that they were designed for. As there is an infinite range of potential liquid contents, we don’t advise on compatibility of our products to the contents they are ultimately combined with.

NB: Responsibility to ensure product compatibility to both the intended contents and any other item to be combined with the product lies with the purchaser.
We strongly advise physical testing to establish compatibility of packaging to contents. FOC samples to facilitate this are available on request. Call us on 01686 611360.
We are wholesalers and as such, our minimum order value is £250 goods total. On some items, a minimum quantity applies and this detail appears along with the product description.
Bottles are supplied in minimum quantities as dictated by pallet quantities and boc quantities. Trigger heads, lotion pumps, mist sprays and standard/dispensing closures are supplied in quantity to suit bottles. In the interests of maintaining product integtrity and cleanliness we avoid opening cases wherever possible.
Details of the supplied quantity will appear on order acknowledgements and may be adjusted to suit packed quantities.
We hold label cutter guides on file – please call us to request these and quote your product’s SKU.
We don’t supply labels or sleeves, but we will be pleased to give the details of companies that can help. Screen printing isn’t a service we offer but we can deliver products direct to a screen printer on behalf of customers. Please call us on 01686 611360.
Lead times can vary with the product and quantity selected but we generally supply from stock and standard procedure is to dispatch same day unless a specific date is requested by the customer.
Where large quantities or bespoke products are required a lead time may apply and the details will appear on order acknowledgements.
We’ll be pleased to deliver to an agreed schedule for repeat requirements. Supply of this nature needs to be covered by a formal purchase order.

Tip: All plastics can be recycled where facilities exist but in addition to this we stock bottles and jerry cans manufactured in Ecycle ™ which is post-consumer rHDPE (recycled high density polyethylene). CLICK HERE to see the range.

NB: A charge may apply to samples for delivery to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Scottish islands and an overnight service is unlikely. We’ll be pleased to prepare a package for collection if you prefer.
For samples requested for a destination in Europe and Scandinavia, a proforma invoice will be issued for £15 to cover delivery costs or we can prepare a package for collection. Please include a phone number on the samples request form so that we can make contact when the samples are ready for collection.

NB: Responsibility for ensuring suitability of Cambrian-supplied products for the intended purpose lies fully with the purchaser. This includes testing for compatibility with other items that may form a combination. Where a vented cap is being tested with a gassing product, accelerated testing is recommended. In placing an order for such an item, the purchaser takes on responsibility for suitability.

Standard timescales: Orders for delivery to UK mainland addresses and placed by 3pm are delivered the next working day as standard, provided the products are in stock. Delivery to Northern Ireland is likely to be on a longer timescale, please enquire when ordering.
When goods are not required overnight, delivery to a specified date is made by agreement with the customer and delivery dates are stated on the order acknowledgement.
NB: Timescales on deliveries to some Scottish postcodes may vary and enquiry should be made when orders are placed.
Customer-specific products: Lead times on products that are bespoke to a customer specification will be subject to a lead time; this includes re-working standard products as requested. The lead time detail will be stated on order acknowledgements.
Charges: Orders of value under £400 are subject to a delivery charge of £22. Orders of over £400 goods value are delivered free of charge when accepted on an open booking.
Timed deliveries: Deliveries to a specific time frame or on Saturdays can be accommodated and costs as below will apply per consignment and will appear on invoices:
- Specified AM or PM delivery: £13.50
- Specified time delivery (from 10am onwards only): £21.50
- Before 10am delivery: £25
- Saturday AM delivery £42.50
- Saturday PM delivery £55
- Saturday specific time delivery: £60
Booking in: Delivery of goods will be booked in when delivery dates are different than stated on order acknowledgements or if deliveries total 5 pallets or more. If booking in of incoming deliveries is required as part of an operational policy, this should be stated on purchase orders.
Delivery Time Requests: we are happy to pass requests to our courier partners, however time requests cannot be guaranteed unless a timed delivery service is specified. A standard open booking can be made at any point between 8am – 6pm, if an open booking fails a redelivery charge of £40 plus VAT per pallet will apply.
Damage during delivery: If products are damaged in the delivery process, this must be reported to Cambrian within 48 hours of delivery to customers’ premises. Replacement goods will be issued when appropriate. A report given outside this limit will be considered at our discretion.
Short delivery: Should short delivery occur that isn’t covered by details in the order acknowledgement, customers should inform Cambrian within 48 hours of the delivery.
Third party delivery: Delivery to a third-party address can be arranged on request. Details must be given to allow booking in if necessary.
Specific consignment dimensions: Delivery to a specific pallet height or format can be accommodated. Any costs applying will be agreed before dispatch and will be included on invoices.
Proof of Delivery: POD can be provided when requested, please contact us by phone or email to make such a request.
Pallets: When goods are delivered on pallets, these are charged at £5.90 each and this detail will appear on order acknowledgements and invoices.
International customers: Goods ordered by customers outside of the UK will be available ex-works only. This will be subject to payment terms as applicable. The address for purchasers to use when arranging collection will appear on order acknowledgements.
When we acknowledge orders, the confirmation will include details stating when the consignment will be ready for collection.
We deliver to Northern Ireland, please enquire about the timescale when ordering.
Supply to the Republic of Ireland is available ex-works only. Collection is from our Newtown site SY16 4LE. INCOTERMS for this supply are EXW.
Goods ordered by customers outside of mainland UK will be available for collection from our Newtown premises subject to payment conditions being met. INCOTERMS applying to these orders are EXW.
When goods are delivered on pallets, these are charged at £5.90 each and this detail will appear on order acknowledgements and invoices. Customers take title of the pallets on delivery, we don’t expect pallets to be returned.
We use a variety of pallet sizes but most are 1000mm x 1200ml and all are checked for condition before being used on a delivery. Heat treated pallets are used where specified for goods being exported.
Waste pallets are disposed of in accordance with our environmental policy.
Pricing & Policy Questions
Credit facilities are available subject to an applicant’s satisfactory completion of our credit account application form. Successful applicants must meet the criteria set out in our standard checks which will include assessment for credit purposes by external service providers. Credit terms offered will be at the discretion of Cambrian Packaging and will be confirmed in writing.

As a company, we are fully aware of our responsibilities toward the environment and we’re committed to acting in as sustainable a way as possible.
In addition to actively promoting the use of recycled material on our products we have taken other measures based on our acceptance of responsibilities: During 2021 we installed LED light fittings to the offices and warehousing at our Newtown head office, reducing our energy consumption. The last four cars purchased by the company are hybrids and we’ll shortly be installing 4 charging points to ensure the use of conventional fuel is minimised.
In December 2021 after the annual assessment, we were pleased to receive confirmation that our operation continues to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management systems, standards and guidelines.
Update at 11.03.2022: We are in the process of arranging for our corporate carbon output to be measured as the first step toward becoming carbon neutral as soon as possible.
We understand that on occasion it is necessary for goods to be returned:
- Goods supplied in error should be brought to the attention of Cambrian by email within 30 days of receipt of goods. Arrangements for collection and credit will be agreed with the Customer Services Manager. Claims communicated outside of this limit cannot be accepted.
- Goods delivered as a result of an incorrect customer order will be accepted back for refund if notified and returned to Cambrian premises within 14 days of their receipt and assessed as saleable on return. A 15% handling and re-stocking charge will be applied to credits. Please note that only goods in unopened cases/pallets can be accepted back for credit.
- Products supplied to a bespoke customer specification and standard products reworked to a customer specification cannot be returned for refund.
The time limits stated above are necessary for effective stock control and to ensure product integrity, also to manage the effect of events outside of our control.

The Plastic Packaging Tax is effective commencing 1st April 2022.
Bottles/containers/caps/closures/dispensers are purchased as packaging so these products are within scope of this tax unless they are manufactured including recycled materials in a minimum of 30% of the total weight.

We certify that the product detailed hereon is supplied under our conditions of sale and has been demonstrated, unless stated below, to conform in all respects to the Cambrian Packaging or other mutually agreed specification.

We’ll be pleased to deliver standard HDPE bottles to a third party to be fluorinated but we don’t offer this service ourselves, please call us for more information.
PET is inherantly resistant to many solvents so may be a better option than fluorinating HDPE. Call us on 01686 611360 for options and FOC samples overnight.
Tip: We stock some bottles in both HDPE and PET.
Packaging Waste reports:
The deadline for submissions is usually late February of the year following. During January and February of each year we’ll be pleased to supply details of total purchases from Cambrian for the preceding year.

If your requirement is for a food application, please enquire per product regarding the specification of the plastic polymer used – we will be happy to help you find the right option for your product.
All products are stored in dry and clean conditions but we cannot prevent possible contamination that can occur during order preparation or in transit.
Tip: Pails handles – pails are stocked with handles in steel and plastic. Pails to be used in food applications should be plastic not steel. The use of steel handles negates the effectiveness of the metal detectors that are fitted to most food production lines.

We aren’t currently recruiting but any positions available will be widely advertised when appropriate.
PCR: Post-consumer recyclate. Material that has previously formed a product that has been used by a consumer and then has been through the recycling process back into polymer.
PIR: Post-industrial recyclate. Material that has been recovered from an industrial process and recycled back into polymer. Usually production waste, reject products etc.
